The seven feasts are God's blueprint for the future in him are these are not Jewish feasts
These are feasts of the Lord
The message/mystery of these feasts are something you must know
The word feast in Hebrew is the word “mohed”
It means a set time or appointed time
Also the word “mikrah”
It means a rehearsal or recital
Together a rehearsal of the future at a set time or appointed time
Review the seven feasts with overhead projector
1. Let’s go to Mount Sinai
Israel was held captive by Pharoah - a type of Satan
Israel has been delivered
Moses was the deliver - a type of Christ
the gods of Egypt are destroyed - God's miracles
in the the to come out of Egypt - escape from sin
then took him to the Red Sea - type of baptism
now 50 days later there at mount Sinai
receive the written word - 10 Commandments
receive the tabernacle instructions
God told Moses exactly how to make the tabernacle
God gave them the festivals are feasts
God gave them the civic law to govern them
You’re not standing at the base of Mount Sinai
About 2 million people would you
If you touch the mountain, you die
The fear of God is in the people
The ground shakes the nature feet – ski is blackened
Blazing Fire comes from the top of the mountain
Moses is talking to God face to face
celestial chaufars Blair louder and louder, Earth shakes
God speaks “I am the Lord your God who brought you out of the land of Egypt, out of the land of slavery”
This is the first day of Pentecost recorded in Scripture
Elaborate rehearsal of the day coming and Acts 2
Acts 2:1 And when the day of Pentecost was fully come, they were all with one accord in one place.
What does this mean?
When exactly 50 days happened - not 49
Exactly when God said it was going to happen
Tongues of fire and sounds of rushing wind came
First baptism in the Holy Spirit happened
It happened on the fulfillment of the feast of Pentecost
Pentecost was revelation of God to Israel
Pentecost was the revelation of God to the Christian church
On the exact day 4000 years apart
God does things in an exact moment - not by chance
Creation is an exact display of God's power/majesty
He created exactly in order
Exactly as it needed to be done
Any thinking person can look at the majesty of creation or nature itself and conclude:
There is a design, a master plan, a thought
For a design there must be a designer – who?
For a plan there must be a planner – who?
For thought there must be a thinker – who?
Science makes us think there's was a big bag
Who caused the Big Bang
Or a tad pole to a monkey to you and me
That takes more faith than I have
God created the heavens and the earth
On the first day of Pentecost at mount Sinai
God did not force the Jewish people to keep the 10 Commandment
That would violate free will - we must choose his will
Ex 19:8 And all the people answered together, and said, All that the Lord hath spoken we will do. And Moses returned the words of the people unto the Lord.
This was before God gave the Commandments
They made a decision to do is the Lord said
God is looking for people to decide today
He is looking for people to do his will
To many are concerned about their will -not God's
We always want sunshine and never want the darkness
God allows the darkness so we can grow
when we are in the darkness, God is there
Ex 20:21 And the people stood afar off, and Moses drew near unto the thick darkness where God was.
God will never leave you nor forsake you
The Bible says the Lord dwells in the thick darkness
Times like this you have to dig into the deep roots
Times like this you dig in to grow up
Jonah was in a dark place, a stinking dark place
When you're in a Dark place, God is preparing you
2. Again the feast of Pentecost happened it at an exact time, at an exact place, to rehearse what would happen in acts 2
Notice the comparison of these two events
a. it was exactly in the 50th day
50 days after the Red Sea
There were fork and tongues of fire
There was thunder and lightning
4000 years later in the upper a
50 days after Christ rose from the dead
Their were tongues of fire and a mighty sound
Exactly what happened in the OT, happened in Acts
b. The tablets were written in stone by the hand of God
Ex 24:12 And the Lord said unto Moses, Come up to me into the mount, and be there: and I will give thee tables of stone, and a law, and commandments which I have written; that thou mayest teach them.
Notice the Commandments was given to teach - not hoard
God still expects to teach his word - not sit on it!
In Acts the word was written in the hearts of men by God by the spirit of God
2 Cor 3:3 Forasmuch as ye are manifestly declared to be the epistle of Christ ministered by us, written not with ink, but with the Spirit of the living God; not in tables of stone, but in fleshy tables of the heart.
Jesus gave us the command to go and teach all nations
c. At mount Sinai 3000 were slain for worshiping a calf
In acts one Peter preached 3000 were saved by the word
he preached repent and be baptized every one of you
disobedience brings death - obedience brings salvation
d. Both of these feasts happened on a mountain
the first one at mount Sinai
the second on the Temple Mount or mount Zion
Luke 19:40 And he answered and said unto them, I tell you that, if these should hold their peace, the stones would immediately cry out.
Mount Sinai was a rock, mount Zion was a rock
Stone the Jesus tomb was a rock rolled away
The churches becoming muffled about the gospel
Archaeologists are discovering rocks that verify the Bible
Big-name evangelists won't answer questions directly
They dance around simple yes and no answers
Like if you're not a Christian you will go to hell
There on talk shows all the time
If you are a big name the world should make a mockery of you
Call you an idiot, you should be is something peculiar
If we don't begin to cry out the rocks will do it for us
3. The feast of Pentecost was a marriage between God and Israel
Israel is the bride, his chosen people
In acts chapter 2 His church became the bride
Jewish weddings are in two stages God
First Betrothal
To families with two kids and their families got together
They discussed the goods in beds a bull children
The children then saw each other - but never alone
There was a written contract -a “katuba”
This states what he will do and what she will do
When God marriage is church he gave us a katuba – The Bible
This gives us all that God will give us
All that he will do for us
All that he will bless us with
Who he is, what he has done, and what he will do
This was very legally binding; you couldn't get out of it
The only way out was death or a “Get”
You were dead, or a fornicator

Second Consummation
Jer 2:2 Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the Lord; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.
God betrothed Israel and will never break it
God brought them to mount Sinai and gave them a written contract
God gave them the Commandments
God gave them the blood sacrifices
God gave them everything they needed
He said I will bless them that bless you and curse those that curse you
He promised them a promised land
And the boundaries are in this book the Bible
And no one has the right to change the word of God
Ex 19:2 For they were departed from Rephidim, and were come to the desert of Sinai, and had pitched in the wilderness; and there Israel camped before the mount.
chanah – singular verb meaning to be one, camped as one
Israel had become one, they were slaves, scattered
Acts 2 they were in one accord, one place
The New Testament church was one
America's churches are not one
Divided by doctrine, skin, sometimes even false doctrine
We are more in love with our denomination than Jesus
Divided by racism were not saving skin, were saving souls
divided by materialism - some have and some have not
treat everybody the same - God loves everybody
we must pray to this end
John 17:22-23 And the glory which thou gavest me I have given them; that they may be one, I even as we are one: 23 I in them, and thou in me, that they may be made perfect in one; and in, and hast loved them, as thou hast loved me.
Jesus wanted us to be one as he is one with the father
This will make us complete or perfect
Then the world will know who Jesus is
Rabbi once said “if Jesus is the Prince of peace why you Christians fight each other” - where is the answer?
In Jewish tradition marriages were done under the Huppah (hoopa)
Ex 19:17 And Moses brought forth the people out of the camp to meet with God; and they stood at the nether part of the mount.
Hebrew word “nether” - they stood under the mountain
Implies God lifted the mountain and he became a Hoopa
The people were married to God, in the presence of God
Pentecost was the revelation of God and is the pouring out of the Holy Spirit
Ex 19:19 And when the voice of the trumpet sounded long, and waxed louder and louder, Moses spake, and God answered him by a voice.
The trumpet sounded louder until the Earth shook
and will At the Trump of God the trumpet shall sound louder and louder until the dead shall rise
things happen at the sound of God's trumpet
Ex 20:18 And all the people saw the thunderings (notice plural), and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off.
Jewish scholars say God's voice split into 70 voices or languages so every ear could hear his word
4000 years later tongues were spoken in 120 languages
12 tribes times 10 (official Jewish prayer meeting)
this covered every known language in the face of the Earth, and every person in Jerusalem at that time
Jesus said “go ye into ALL the world”
Every language would now hear his Word
Every person to take part in the bridal marriage
In old times you can be around God, or life your, or even Jesus
But now the Holy Spirit lived inside of you
Now we can claim 1 John 4:4 Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world
The feast of Pentecost reveals three trumpets of God
called the shofar
Exodus 19:19 the shofar sounded louder and louder
the shofar announce the presence of God
the shofar announced the liberty God was bringing to his people
the shofar announced to the marriage had taken place
the shofar will escort us into the very presence of God
1st Trump was blown by God at Sinai
2nd Trump(last trump) is blown by God at the rapture the church
1 Cor 15:51-52 Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52 In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.
3rd Trump, the great Trump at the end of the tribulation
Matt 24:30-31 And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. 31 And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other.
This will usher in the millennial reign
7 things you need to know about the baptism in the Holy Spirit
1. You do not receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit at salvation
It is a separate work of grace
Matt 3:11 I indeed baptize you with water unto repentance: but he that cometh after me is mightier than I, whose shoes I am not worthy to bear: he shall baptize you with the Holy Ghost, and with fire:

Repentance is salvation, then the baptism
Mark 16:17 And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues;
1 Cor 14:5 I would that ye all spake with tongues, but rather that ye prophesied: for greater is he that prophesieth than he that speaketh with tongues, except he interpret, that the church may receive edifying.
We are to speak in tongues, prophesy, cast out devils
1 Cor 14:39 Wherefore, brethren, covet (desire earnestly) to prophesy, and forbid not to speak with tongues.
Forbid not anyone to speak in tongues
God has given outward signs of an inward experience
2. The baptism of the Holy Spirit was found in every church
Why did Paul not tell every church to get it?
Because they already had it and didn't need to be told
3. Some say you have to be mature to receive the Holy Spirit
Absolutely not
Acts 10:44 – 47, Peter was speaking at Cornelius house
These were new converts, previously pagans
This That happened while Peter was speaking the message, he wasn't done yet
4. You can be filled and not manifest it for a number of days
John 20:22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:
There was then 50 days until the upper room
This is where the evidence with tongues happened will
The disciples were saved, Jesus told them your names are written in a lamb's book of life earlier at the last supper
This was not their salvation
5. People get confused about some versus
1 Cor 12:13 For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit. This is not the baptism of the Holy Spirit
This is simply the believers being baptized into one body
This is simply believers having one Spirit, God’s spirit
We received the spirit of God at salvation
Rom 8:9 But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his. You have the spirit of God or you don't
God does not remove his spirit after your
Some teach you don't get the spirit until the baptism-NO!
6. Examples of believers that had the spirit, but no baptism
Abraham was the father of all who believe
Abraham was a child of God
Jesus said and you shall sit down in my kingdom with Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob
So these are all obviously already in heaven
Never had the baptism, the Holy Spirit hadn’t come
John 1:26 - 33 (two baptisms)
John 7:37 – 39 (Jesus was saying this is going to happen to you, but it hasn't happened yet
After the resurrection in John 20 Jesus breathed on them and they receive the Holy Ghost, again no tongues until Acts 2
Acts chapter 9 Paul on the Damascus road got saved and then in acts 9:17 Ananias laid hands and Paul was filled with the Holy Ghost
Acts 19:4-6 Then said Paul, John verily baptized with the baptism of repentance, saying unto the people, that they should believe on him which should come after him, that is, on Christ Jesus. 5 When they heard this, they were baptized in the name of the Lord Jesus. 6 And when Paul had laid his hands upon them, the Holy Ghost came on them; and they spake with tongues, and prophesied.
Here we have baptism of repentance and then the Holy Ghost 7. There 4 baptisms and Scripture
baptism of repentance (water baptism)
baptism of suffering (Hebrews 5)
baptism of fire (Matthew 3)
baptism of the Holy Spirit (acts 2)
you must repent and be cleaned before the Holy Spirit will enter
the Holy Spirit will not live in a garbage can
God captures the tongue because it is the most unruly creature
